Jamey Johnson

Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson, one of the most respected artists in country music today, will perform at The Mahaffey Theater Friday, Jan. 17. And just in... he will be joined by opener Chris Hennessee, singer/songwriter from Nashville!

Jamey Johnson's 2008 album, That Lonesome Song, was certified platinum for 1 million in sales, and his 2010 ambitious double album, The Guitar Song, received a gold certification. In addition, he won two Song of the Year trophies, for “Give It Away” and “In Color,” both from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association, and has received six Grammy nominations.

He has received tremendous praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and other publications.
Last year Johnson released his fourth studio album, a duet tribute album to late songwriter Hank Cochran. The Grammy-nominated Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran paired him with Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Ray Price, Elvis Costello, George Strait, Vince Gill and Merle Haggard.

Chris Hennessee's music is best described as “Southern Country Blues” influenced by the classic southern rock sounds of The Marshall Tucker Band and The Allman Brothers Band and stone country sounds of Merle Haggard and Billy Joe Shaver.
Tickets for Jamey Johnson are $29.50, $39.50 and $49.50. Groups of 10+ can save 10% through Group Sales, 727.892.5716.
