Seven-time Grammy®-nominated Verve Forecast recording artist Ledisi announces her headline tour, “BGTY” (Be Good To Yourself) 2012 North American tour and her new book, Better Than Alright: Finding Peace, Love & Power. 
 

 

The 27-city tour, which crisscrosses the U.S., begins on June 24, in Philadelphia, PA, and concludes on August 5 in Atlanta, GA. Ledisi welcomes Eric Benet, who will be opening the show for a perfect musical pairing. Benet consistently makes music that speaks to love and speaks from the soul. Their tour covers most major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C and Atlanta. Ticket sales begin on April 13 for select markets. Throughout the tour, Ledisi will also be making stops at major festivals across the country including Hampton Jazz Festival on June 23, Essence Music Festival on July 7 and Cincinnati Jazz Festival on July 27. Known for her riveting live shows, the New Orleans native will  give audiences blistering performances of fan favorites “Alright,”  “Higher Than This” and “Goin’ Thru Changes,” while seducing them with new classics “Pieces of Me,” “Stay Together” and “Bravo” off her latest album the multiple Grammy® nominated Pieces of Me which is her highest charting album of her career, debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was the No. 1 iTunes R&B Album upon release.

 

Later this month, Ledisi will debut her new music video for her hit single “Bravo” from her current album, which she recently performed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
