Rhonda Shear's Comedy PJ Party
Comedienne turned entrepreneur, Rhonda Shear, has announced an all new comedy event scheduled for February 16, 2013 to benefit the Mahaffey Theater Foundation. The Rhonda Shear Comedy PJ Party will feature shopping, a fashion show, and stand-up comedy for a full night of fun!
Doors open at 7 p.m. for a boutique shopping opportunity with more than 20 exciting vendors offering unique gifts, accessories and fashions. Pajama clad guests will then head into the theater for an exclusive couture runway show featuring hot local designers and upcoming season’s fashions. Immediately following the runway portion of the show, the audience will be introduced to Rhonda and three other headlining comediennes, including Carole Montgomery, Vicki Barbolak, and Ludo Vika plus special guest, Bobby Kelton, in a slumber party setting. This promises to be the comedy event of the year and makes for a great Valentine’s weekend night out!
Rhonda Shear is the award winning president of Shear Enterprises, LLC, as well as designer of Rhonda Shear Intimates including the world famous Ahh Bra, and she is no stranger to the stage! She grew up as a New Orleans beauty queen, had a successful career in Hollywood as hostess of USA: Up All Night and acted in countless sit-coms, talk shows and movies. She headlined for years as a stand-up comedienne, and is thrilled to be getting back behind the microphone for an all new show with an amazingly talented group!
Vicki Barbolak, winner of Nick@Nite's “Funniest Mom In America” headlines in comedy clubs across the country. Audiences of all backgrounds drink up her fresh, side-splitting, leopard-print clad stand-up. She was chosen by NBC as a member of Jay Leno's Laugh Squad and her legendary performance of Stand-Up at a Funeral was featured in the NY Times bestseller, "I Killed, Road Stories of America's Top Comics."
With more than two dozen television credits to her name, Carole Montgomery is a respected veteran of the stand-up comedy scene nationwide. In addition to her numerous television appearances, Carole has headlined clubs and colleges across the USA and starred in two different Las Vegas production shows. In her ten years as a Las Vegas Star, it is estimated that she has been seen by more than 5 million audience members. She is also an accomplished director and producer, organizing shows for Armed Forces Entertainment, and performing for troops around the world.
Ludo Vika is irreverent, talented, hilarious, outspoken, dynamic, outrageously funny and sexy. Winning the title of America's First Bilingual Comic at the Utah Laugh Off Festival, Ludo has been the opening act for some of the biggest comedy performers of our time and has been a popular character in several TV series. Ludo takes her popular style and kicks it up a notch, performing on the national comedy clubs scene, even producing and hosting a variety comedy show at The World Famous Comedy Store - “Sex Nachos and Men”, The Nasty Divas of Comedy at The Ha Ha Comedy Club, Universal City, bringing to life the sexy antics of some of her unforgettable characters.
Bobby Kelton, author of the new dating and romance book, "Please Don't Let This Be Her!", has appeared on "The Tonight Show" more than two dozen times, and he's also been seen on "The Montel Williams Show," A & E's "Evening at the Improv" and CBS' "48 Hours." His classic observational style of comedy has audiences of all ages laughing at the things that happen in everyday life. He's opened for such diverse acts as Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones and Gladys Knight, and is equally at home - and equally funny - in small comedy clubs or on a big Las Vegas stage.
